I've never been good at carrying a purse. Over the years, my blatant rebellion against this time honored tradition has become a bit of a joke within my family. I'm prone to leaving my things scattered about the house- driver's license, debit card, cell phone, keys, you name it and I can't find it. It's not just a bad habit I carry on with at home either. Inevitably, I'll leave my parent's house following a visit, only to get a call just about the time I hit the freeway onramp that I've left some critical item behind.
When I do carry a purse, it always results in a Mary Poppins scenario. Old receipts, recipes, scarves, my measuring tape and half empty water bottles will undoubtedly fill the thing until it becomes unmanageably heavy and I discard it altogether.
But the truth is, I'm well into my 30's at this point and frankly tired of losing my mind looking for things on my way out of the house. So today, I resolve to embrace this lady-like ritual once and for all. It's unlikely that I'd swap out expensive bags frequently, but I figure a couple of good investment pieces might just be the motivation I need to stick with it.

Super cute choices! That hobo looks super versatile. I'm the worst able leaving things behind! It's usually my wallet or sunglasses ;/
I love that bag...I love that its linen.....I can't believe you have made it this far without using one!! I barely change mine out....I probably will use the same one for 6 months and then switch....in the evening I do use different clutches...welcome to the fun world of accessories!
PS and yes I love your idea of having a pool party just to have an excuse to hang out with a turban and caftan all day!!
