Our ornate mid-century front door is balanced out by some more sleek and modern, brushed steel accents. We'll probably pull in some white pottery on the steps leading up to the door for added visual interest as well.
I really had been leaning towards #1 and #2 above- that is until I spotted a couple of monogrammed doormats on Pinterest recently.

With one decision, comes another... when renovating a house inside and out, it seems never ending. But something tells me I'll miss it when we've finally reached that point where we call it "finished". I honestly think The Mister lies awake at night fearing the day I decide I want to re-do it all.
Oh I love #6! I really can't get over how fabulous your new mint door is. You have inspired me to one day do this myself!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you are right Sam! We have a lot of grey going on around these parts and I'm thinking some more color by the door will help punch it up a bit! Thanks for stopping by and reading BTW... :)
DeleteI love 1 and 6 but that first monogram reminds me of your wedding. And you know me...I'm a sucker for nostalgia. And the mint door is fab-u! I must confess I drove by on my way to get my haircut this weekend to see the new stucco and trim and was giddy to see that cool hue peaking our from the entry way. L.O.V.E.
ReplyDeleteIf it stands still- monogram it!
